This time, we will be looking at Osaka Baseball Stadium, a baseball stadium located in the middle of Namba, Osaka's second busiest area. This stadium was once used as the home field for the Nankai Hawks (now the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks). Because it was built on a small plot of land in a prime location in the city, the stands were very steep, and it was also called the Mortar Bowl Stadium. Moreover, it took eight months of rush work to complete the stadium. Osaka Baseball Stadium was scheduled to be demolished and redeveloped, but the plans were delayed due to the collapse of the bubble economy, and at one point it was used in a way that made no sense, such as opening a housing exhibition center inside the stadium.
