Two famous Shusha residents have already returned to their homeland. According to a Qafqazinfo employee seconded to Shusha, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and Rector of the Azerbaijan Academy of Music Farhad Badalbeyli visited Shusha yesterday. Visiting the house museum of his father Bulbul, the ambassador hugged a nearly 150-year-old tree in their yard and said, "My father's hands touched this tree." Later, rubbing the soil of his homeland on his hands, he says that it is difficult to believe that he is still in free Shusha. This is the first time Polad Bulbuloglu has been to free Shusha, but when Shusha was under enemy occupation, he was able to visit Bulbul's house twice in 2007 and 2009. Now Bulbul's house will become a museum. The ambassador brought an architect with him and preliminary calculations for the restoration were carried out. Polad Bulbuloglu says that the feelings he felt while visiting his father's house cannot be expressed in words: "I am happy. I pray to God that I did not die and saw this day. I am also very old, it is possible that I could not have seen this day, this victory. I am a happy man that I saw the victory of the Azerbaijani people, I saw free Shusha, I returned to my father's house and today I am here. Shusha belongs to Azerbaijan, Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan! Mr. President has granted us these days, these moments, this joy." Farhad Badalbayli, grandson of P. Bulbuloglu and Shamsi Badalbayli, later visited the "Shot-Fired Statues" located in the center of Shusha. The ambassador talked about how he acquired these statues, which were sold as scrap metal by Armenians after the occupation of Shusha, on the instructions of Heydar Aliyev. After that, the famous Shusha residents visited the Lower and Upper Govhar Agha mosques and prayed for the Azerbaijani people and Azerbaijani soldiers. They also visited Vagif's mausoleum. Then, they looked at the Topkhana forest from the Chidir plain and inhaled the air of Shusha, the Jerusalem and Kaaba of Azerbaijan, and expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the Azerbaijani Army for proudly returning to their homeland as representatives of the victorious people and as proud Shusha residents.
