MATRA PANTURA: Climate Change Dialogue on the Coastal Border by EIGER Films EIGER ADVENTURE collaborates with the Wanadri Foundation to plant mangrove seedlings in Mayangan Village, Subang. We learn more about tropical landscapes by looking at climate disasters in the mangrove area. That abrasion on the North Coast occurs not only because of the reduction in the mangrove area. We get to know a local figure, Abah Ncay, who pioneered mangrove conservation there, and also meet his successor youth group. Siaga Pantai Utara (SIPUT) is a local youth group that patrols the mangrove area in Mayangan Village. The Matra Pantura film attempts to capture the stories of these local inspirators. And the hope is that it can trigger further dialogue and collaboration in responding to climate disasters on the North Coast.
