This is how you make shampoo from soap nuts. Ingredients: about 5 soap nuts about 200 ml water Soap nuts are a natural way of washing. They come from India and grow on trees. Soap nuts contain a lot of saponin, a substance that is also found in local soapwort or chestnuts. Washing your hair with soap nuts is said to be gentle on your hair. For one portion of shampoo you need about five soap nuts without seeds. You can usually buy them without the seeds. You can use normal tap water. Only if the water is very high in lime is it better to use filtered water or distilled water. If you want, you can add a few drops of essential oil. This gives the soap nut shampoo a personal scent. The recipe amount is enough for one wash for long hair. For short hair you need significantly less. If you want to keep some of the soap nut shampoo, you can also freeze it. When using the shampoo on long hair, it is practical to lather the solution with a hand blender. To do this, mix the liquid with a hand blender for about a minute. A stiff foam gradually forms. When the shampoo is well lathered, it is easier to distribute it through the hair than if it remains a thin liquid. People with very short hair can use the soap nut shampoo almost like a normal shampoo. Simply massage in, leave for 1 minute and then rinse. The video explains how to use it on long hair. Have fun trying it out and good luck! Sources for products for the video: Soap nuts: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B004N...
