Today, in this podcast of the GERME network, we invite you to our round table on “How does the transformation of companies impact the transformation of the territory and society?”. This episode was filmed at the Grand Tour Nord-Ouest, an internal event. In the cast: Cécile Landreau, CFO of Giffard Liqueurs et Sirops and member of a Germe group in Angers. Maxime Blondeau, teacher, speaker, cosmographer, author. Sandrine Deberle, operations director at Navoti and member of a Germe group in Tours. Auguste Coudray, co-creator of the La Gacilly Photo Festival, former communications and PR director of Yves Rocher in Brittany. David Rival: “Cécile, you brought us corn straws today, but what does that have to do with your job as CFO?” [CL] Absolutely. This straw takes me back to 2019, when we had just learned with the Giffard management committee that all single-use plastic was going to be banned and our cocktails had until then been distributed with single-use straws. At the CODIR, when I was expected to provide indicators, I took out my straws and told myself that this would perhaps allow us to think more globally about our CSR approach. Team onboarding is a real issue. We can see this clearly with the green team, which is very motivated. But if we do activities on the subject at lunchtime, only employees who are already interested in the subject come. I think it has to be during working hours, especially for teams who are far removed from these subjects. Sandrine Deberle, you are from Navoti, a family business specializing in well-being and healthy lifestyle products and services. You have implemented organic management, what is it?[SD] The Opale method is based on three pillars:shared self-governancethe evolving purposeful existencefullnessOpale is really focused on “feeling-acting”, which we prefer to “predicting-controlling”. It is about identifying the weak signals that exist in the company.Auguste Coudray, what is the relationship between the photo festival, the territory and the business world?[AC] It changes the way we look at this world. What I like about artists is that they show us what we no longer see. When we see realities from all over the world, it awakens you, it is full of nuances and it also makes you very humble in relation to your way of life. We also welcome companies and their employees on private tours that allow them to discover the backstage of the festival, but above all to make them proud to see that a company like theirs is investing in culture, which is there to talk about the world. Maxime Blondeau, you are a teacher, speaker, cosmographer. You talk about attention deficit about the territory. How can we gain attention and how would it be good for the company? [MB] I have a few reasons: The transformations of the territory are reaching a high speed and becoming aware of the territory means becoming aware of the risks, and therefore of what will change. But many things are going to change. So the first driver can already be the particular interest The impact of the company on the territory where the particular interest meets the general interest The spiritual dimension, I think that at all social levels in all territories, Man is today feeling the dysfunction, a distancing from the world We talk about corporate social responsibility with you. What advice would you give to managers and where to start? By using maps to guide our view of the relationship with the territory. For example, an SME in Redon might ask itself how can I map my relationship with the territory? Where are my flows? Where do I get my supplies? Where do my employees live? What is the impact of my activity on living things (pollution)? 2:45 Cécile, tell us about the relationship between corn straw, your job as CFO and the CSR approach at Giffard? 3:29 How do we move from a trigger object to something in the order of the CSR vision? 5:35 What are the irritants encountered on a daily basis in this CSR approach? 6:45 How do we get employees involved in this type of approach? 9:05 Sandrine, you have set up an Opale management, what is it? 10:45 What is the evolving purpose? 12:33 Cécile, the committed person that you are, what does she feel and what action should you put in place? 14:22 Sandrine, how do you develop your sensitivity in business? 19:20 Maxime, a reaction to these testimonies? 22:50 Auguste, tell us about the day you decided to create a nature photo exhibition in nature. 27:38 What is the relationship between the photo festival, the territory and the business world? 29:42 You are a member of the Produit en Bretagne network, is it a new way of doing social economy? 30:58 Maxime Blondeau, you are a teacher, speaker, cosmographer. What is a cosmographer? 33:11 You talk about attention deficit pr...
