"I left the rehabilitation center and started forgetting about God. I didn't pray once, I didn't pray twice... And I remembered that day when I didn't pray later in the sewer, when I slept on the pipes - lice, rats, that's when I remembered that day," Evgeny Kushnir says about his life. Evgeny Kushnir was born into a military family. When Zhenya was five years old, her father died unexpectedly. His mother raised three children alone. "It was hard for her. She even altered my father's pants for me, ripped out a strip from them and I walked in them," Evgeny says about his childhood. After school, in the 90s, crime came into Zhenya's life. He received two convictions: the first was suspended, the second - two years in prison for a fight. "Then I was released, but I did not want to work. Little by little, I got into drinking binges." Zhenya's mother tried to help him, took him to clinics, offered to get treatment, but nothing helped. Zhenya continued to drink. As a result, he became homeless and already understood that he would soon die from such a lifestyle. One day, God helped Evgeniy get out of his situation. The guy ended up in a Christian rehabilitation center, his life began to turn for the better, to change. But, unfortunately, excessive confidence in his own strength led to the fact that he returned to his old way of life: "The church has already left - that's it, I am strong myself, I can do everything and can do everything. Then I started drinking again. There was nowhere to go, I lived in dens, in basements. I no longer wanted anything. I felt that I would die, I no longer wanted to live, no one needed me ... ". Death was already close, but the Lord gave Evgeniy another chance...
