Prof. Dominika Dudek talks about the methods and tools used to treat mental disorders. She also presents the perspective from which contemporary psychiatry looks at the issue of what is normal and what is a disorder, and explains how our well-being is influenced by our genes, relationships with other people, emotions, lifestyle, and our entire body. The audience's well-being will also be provided with artistic experiences - a concert by pianist and composer Kateryna Ziabliuk. After the lecture, we talk with Prof. Dudek about whether we are living in the time of a mental health crisis and how to find a sense of meaning and fulfillment in a world where interactions between people are disappearing, while polarization and social tensions are increasing. Prof. Dominika Dudek is the head of the Department of Psychiatry and the Clinic of Adult Psychiatry at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. She is also, among others, the president of the Polish Psychiatric Association and the editor-in-chief of the journal "Psychiatria Polska".
