A Liter of Tears Episode 1 Summary; A striking story taken from real life! Cihan is a high school senior, a lively girl. While she is excited about the university entrance exam that will shape her life, she finally manages to get into the school she has always wanted. Thus, a new era begins in her life. New environment, new friendships and love... She steps into the circle of friends that will surround her on the first day of school. She also crosses paths with “that strange boy” whom she met on the morning of the exam. What excites Cihan the most is being in the same school as Ali, whom she has admired for a long time. “First love” is now just a step away. While everything is going well, the only person whose heart feels heavy is Figen. She starts to feel uneasy about her daughter’s clumsiness. A fall that causes Cihan to get injured will cause the bitter truth to come to light. Cihan is diagnosed with “Cerebellar Degeneration”. When she learns that this is an incurable disease, Figen’s world falls apart. While Cihan is enjoying his new life unaware of everything, Figen has stepped into a completely different world. His courageous family finds themselves in a situation they have no idea how to handle. What awaits Cihan and his family?
