TV21plus Sensational success at the 6th Haflinger World Exhibition in Ebbs/Tyrol In glorious imperial weather, Tyrol became a mecca for all horse lovers for 4 days. Almost 20,000 visitors from all over Europe and even from the USA and Australia came to the largest horse breed show in the world, to the Fohlenhof in Ebbs to admire the 700 most beautiful Haflinger horses from 18 nations. The spectators braved the heat and celebrated the Haflinger horse for 4 days. This once again showed how important this unique Tyrolean horse breed is. What an extraordinary atmosphere among the visitors. "The stands were always full, the audience celebrated enthusiastically," said Lukas Scheiber, chairman of the Haflinger Horse Breeders' Association in Tyrol, who was delighted with the extremely strong interest shown by visitors from near and far. The large crowd of political representatives from the federal states of Tyrol, Vorarlberg and South Tyrol as well as Austria also showed their appreciation and interest in the Tyrolean cultural asset of the Haflinger with their personal visit. So Federal Minister Andrä Rupprechter insisted on ceremoniously opening the Haflinger World Exhibition after a fitting entry with the Fohlenhof 6-in-hand, accompanied by Deputy Governor Josef Geisler, Ebbs Mayor Josef Ritzer and the Managing Director of Fohlenhof Ebbs, DI Rudolf Hussl. The subsequent International Haflinger Show thrilled the Fohlenhof Arena, which was sold out to the last seat. What followed was a unique festival focusing on the Haflinger horse. Whether it was the impressive visit to the oversized stable tents on the Fohlenhof grounds, where the breeders lovingly looked after their Haflingers and prepared them for their big appearance, or the countless highlights such as the daily sold-out International. Haflinger Show, the Radio Show U1 as a guest or the ORF Musiktruch'n, the Tyrol, Country or Austria evenings with live music in the festival hall: "Our concept of putting on a four-day festival for the whole family has worked perfectly." says Fohlenhof Managing Director Rudolf Hussl, who is delighted with the success. Right from the start, the visitors were excited and cheered on the breeders in the arena and on the rings as they presented their Haflinger horses. The breeders presented their horses in front of the 25 international judges and on Thursday and Friday the respective class winners were determined in front of a large and enthusiastic audience in the Fohlenhof Arena. On Saturday the decisions for the national and world winners were made on the "Haflinger Catwalk". At the grand finale on Sunday, all participating nations presented themselves and the world winning horses took turns with the highlights from the Int. Haflinger Show and offered a fitting conclusion to the largest horse breed show in the world. Governor Günther Platter, whose birthday was that day, also made sure to personally attend this unique event and, together with Tirol Werbung boss Josef Margreiter and South Tyrolean regional councillor Arnold Schuler, paid tribute to the years of commitment of the organiser, the Haflinger Horse Breeders Association of Tirol with its officials, the Fohlenhof team, all breeders, volunteers and organisers of the Haflinger World Exhibition and reaffirmed the high importance of the Haflinger horse for Tirol.
