This November marks 50 years since the Polytechnic uprising, the leading anti-dictatorship event against the Junta of the Colonels. The brutality of that period ended in the early hours of November 17 with the invasion of the tank that knocked down the gate of the Polytechnic. For four historic days, students joined their voices with the people who resisted in the streets despite tear gas, bullets and arrests. We talked to Melpo Lekatsa, Katerina Papagika and Eleni Anastasiou about the events that left dead and thousands injured, three women who resisted the Junta, were hunted and tortured by the military regime.
