Hi friends, I'm Denoozer72, welcome to my channel and video. In this video, I tried to introduce our city of Hasankeyf, which will be flooded under the Ilısu Dam, and show the current status of our historical value Hasankeyf. You will watch small snapshots from our journey to the historical depths of Hasankeyf in this video. Friends, in this video, the 2nd video of our Mêvan (guest) concept. We were the guests of our teacher Emin Bulut. We specifically chose Hasankeyf, which has a history of 12 thousand years and is the cradle of civilizations. Hasankeyf will be completely closed to visitors soon (on October 8)! Even now, with the statement made by the authorities on the side of the bazaar, the bazaar will be evacuated in a short time. While we can still see our historical past, which will be flooded for the sake of profit, we passed this video in order to introduce and inform you. Hasankeyf History Hasankeyf is located in the Mesopotamia region, where civilizations first emerged, and it is not clearly known who founded it. The city has a history of 12 thousand years and is currently located within the borders of Batman province. Hasankeyf is known by different names by different communities. It is called Heskif in Kurdish, Hesna Kepha in Syriac, Hisn Kafya in Arabic and Hasankeyf in the Ottomans. There are approximately 6 thousand caves in the city. There is also a giant castle in the city, the Ulu Mosque, the Great Palace and the Small Palace belonging to the Ayyubids on the castle. Its known history dates back to the 8th century BC. Throughout history, Hasankeyf was a city that various tribes could not share due to its dominant position in Mesopotamia and the rivers passing through it. The most important feature of the city being called a world common heritage is that despite many invasions, each invading civilization built on the previous one and made the city even more beautiful. Why is Hasankeyf Wanted to Be Demolished? RENT RENT RENT. We are progressing with an incredible perversion for the sake of a love of profit and development and growth as a country. Every day we lose a different nature or historical beauty because of this love of profit. Because of our momentary ambitions and desires, maybe we are killing them, maybe knowingly or unknowingly. One of the latest examples of this is the beautiful Hasankeyf. Farewell, beautiful city, we could not protect you, farewell… Thank you in advance for watching the video, if you are not subscribed to my channel, I would be very happy if you subscribe and like and comment on our videos.
