Camila Achutti, a computer scientist and entrepreneur, discusses the Brazilian scenario of women in technology. She is a founding partner of Ponte21, an innovation and technology consultancy that promotes the connection between technology and people. She is a digital influencer at FIAP and leads projects such as Women in Technology Week and the App Marathon. She is one of the leaders of the movement for gender equality in the IT market. Her blog Mulheres na Computação has become the biggest reference in Portuguese that addresses the gender gap in technology. She helped bring the Technovation Challenge Brasil to Brazil, an entrepreneurship and technology challenge for girls only, of which she is now an Ambassador. With a degree in Computer Science from USP and also a master's degree from the same institution, she interned at Google in California and worked for Iridescent Learning, an American distance learning NGO of the maker movement. She decided to return to Brazil and become an entrepreneur to do what she loves: show the transformative power of technology and entrepreneurship.
