Milk and dairy products are more expensive than ever these days. Prices have doubled in 2022; milk prices are competing with fuel prices. So why are the prices of milk and dairy products increasing so much? Could milk become a luxury food if production problems continue? Milk producers Sinan Kolat and Hüdaver Sert, National Milk Council Deputy Chairman Cihat Şimşek, Turkish Milk, Meat, Food Industrialists and Producers Association (SETBİR) Chairman İsa Coşkun, Turkish Milk Producers Central Union Chairman Tevfik Keskin and economist Güldem Atabay made the assessment for BBC Turkish.
