About :

Dr. Franco Caputi, a specialist in Neurosurgery, explains what trigeminal neuralgia is, what the main causes are and what are the most commonly used therapies today. He deals in general with Neurosurgery, especially trigeminal neuralgia and pain treatment, minimally invasive lumbar stenosis, peripheral nerve tumors, herniated disc (also minimally invasive treatment), carpal tunnel and peripheral nervous system. He is one of the few in Europe to deal with spastic torticollis. Dr. Caputi, graduated in 1979 in Medicine and Surgery at the Second University of Naples, specialized in Neurosurgery at the same University in 1984 with top marks. He passed the qualification to practice in the USA ECFMG. He spent about 4 years in the USA, at Duke University, one of the best in the world, and then at the University of Cincinnati. He did an internship for a month in Mainz, Germany. He has participated in numerous conferences as a speaker, has published in international journals and is co-author of specialist books. He has participated in broadcasts on RAI1 and other broadcasters, has given journalistic interviews on topics of neurosurgical interest. He currently practices as a Neurosurgeon at the Ars Medica and Madonna della Fiducia Clinic in Rome.
