Company presentation: • Maria Giménez is an artist and farmer. • Wilmars Gardens with 8 employees on the outskirts of Berlin • 5 hectares of gardens with up to 250 different types of vegetables • 240 hectares of arable and grassland with holistic pasture management, no-till farming, pesticide-free • 80 hectares of forest • more than 100 hectares of agroforestry systems and conversion of management to create an edible landscape of the future ----------------------------- This film answers the questions: • How did you get into agroforestry? • What do your agroforestry systems look like in concrete terms? • How has biodiversity changed? • How is the company financed? • How do you communicate with your customers? • What was the biggest obstacle at the beginning? • How did the agroforestry advice help you? • How did the agroforestry advice work for you? • Do you have any wishes for the agroforestry legal framework? • What are your best tips for agroforestry newbies? • What vision do you have for the farm in 2040? ----------------------------- The film Maria Giménez, agroforestry pioneer, was made as part of the film series: Trees on the Field. The project "Trees on the Field - Biological diversity through a first network of agroforestry demonstration farms" is funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation in the Federal Biodiversity Program with funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
