The TV film “Maroon Beret” tells the stories of people from several generations of special forces: experienced Major Pavlov, who has many successfully carried out special operations under his belt; Senior Lieutenant Kochetkov, who does not abandon his desire to be honored to wear the maroon beret, despite repeated failures in qualification tests, as well as Private Kupriyanov, for whom special forces becomes the beginning of a serious stage in life: it is in the special forces detachment that a young man learns from his own experience what brotherhood, mutual assistance, courage, and dignity are. The increased complexity of the training course for young fighters is aggravated by a difficult personal situation: it turns out that both Kochetkov and Kupriyanov are candidates for the special favor of the pretty student Nastya. However, by chance, the heroes find themselves in a very dangerous situation that threatens death not only for themselves, but also for many people: Nastya and her friends are going to relax in nature, but the place chosen by the friends turns out to be the site of a terrorist attack planned by foreign intelligence services. A meeting with mercenaries becomes fatal for Nastya's friends, but she herself manages to escape. However, it is not so easy to escape from these cold-blooded professional killers. Both of her admirers come to the girl's aid.
