Mekarsari Fruit Park is a 264 ha artificial agrotourism area located in Bogor Regency, West Java. This park is one of the largest biodiversity conservation centers in Indonesia as well as a place for cultivation research. Mekarsari Fruit Park is designed with the Lamtoro Gung pattern as its main theme because the plant is a symbol of a versatile plant, as an environmental conservationist and fulfillment of life's needs. Regarding the history of Taman Buah Mekarsari, this tourist destination which has been opened since 1995 is one of the largest tropical fruit biodiversity preservation centers in the world initiated by Mrs. Tien Soeharto. Taman Buah Mekarsari is also a place for research on cultivation (agronomy), breeding and multiplication of superior seeds to be distributed to farmers and the general public. As a place for developing horticultural gardens, there are fruit plants, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. Mainly developed into a horticultural study center especially for lowland fruit and vegetable plants. This tourist spot located in Bogor changed its name in 2004 to Taman Wisata Mekarsari because the cultivated plant variants are not only types of fruits, but also types of vegetables and ornamental plants.
