If you could visit any place on the Moon, where would you go? There are mountains and craters, scientific wonders and mysteries shrouded in dark shadows. But without the right map, it would be easy to miss some of the wondrous features of our closest celestial neighbor. Luckily for us, for the past decade and a half, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has been compiling just such a map. In ways never before seen, it has been able to image lunar terrain features, helping scientists learn more about the Moon’s ever-evolving surface and the processes that govern it. What did you find there? Come with us on a journey of discovery.
