The Highmarts' latest album is garage GS with tight beats, rolling bass straight from Luis Luis Kabe, and killer fuzz guitar! The album includes three original songs that show influences from group sounds, 60s garage punk, and pop, as well as the classic "Heart ni OK!" by neo-GS legends, The Phantom Gift, and a cover of the 60s garage classic "Run Run Run," also covered by Uchida Yuya. Official video for the Highmarts' first single, "I Want You Bad." The Highmarts are founded in Tokyo in 2013, and are three young girls who are continuing the tradition of Japanese garage rock. Taking inspiration from the 60s 'Group Sounds' through to 70s punk, the Highmarts will outdo all the boys with their primitive fuzz guitar sound. The first single, "I Want You Bad," was released on the 29th of May. They covered the '80s Group Sounds-classic, The Phantomgift's "Frantic Heart's Okay!" and the Gestures' "Run Run Run" (Yuya Uchida, who is the king of Japanese rock'n' roll covered the song and the Highmarts covered by his version.)
