Hello, everyone! 👍🏻 In recent years, I have obtained good results using bleach (sodium hypochlorite) in growing Desert Roses 🌸, a simple, cheap and easy to find product that, if applied in the correct amount, does not harm your plant. On the contrary, in the case of root mealybugs, it renews their RD in 1 to 2 weeks! So I decided to make a special video dedicated only to them. I also take this opportunity to make a very important recommendation for you to be careful when taking a new Desert Rose pot home, as it may actually be full of pests! I hope you adopt this habit in your next purchases! Recommendations: Recipe for a Protective Bath in a bleach solution against Root Mealybugs and pests in the substrate: 240 ml of bleach for every 10 liters of regular tap water (you can do it in the tank), immerse the pot for 15 minutes. 1 application is enough to exterminate the mealybugs. Treat all contaminated pots. Recipe for a solution for watering seeds during germination: 5 ml of bleach for every 100 ml of tap water, or 3 tablespoons of bleach for every 1 liter of tap water. Spray the substrate whenever necessary. Once the plant is born, spray it once a week to prevent fungus. Recipe for a fungicide with bleach: 3 heaping tablespoons of bleach for every 1 liter of water. Spray the entire plant at the end of the day. If the infestation is large, apply 3 times in the first week, and once in the second. Treat all plants that are contaminated, and throw leaves, buds and flowers with signs of fungus in the trash. If you are allergic, use protective materials when handling the product. Be careful: the pure product stains clothes!
