Fourteen candidates - ten supported by parties and four independents - are on the ballot for the November 24 presidential elections. This is the 9th presidential election since the Revolution. In the last 35 years, Romania has had four presidents: Ion Iliescu, Emil Constantinescu, Traian Băsescu and Klaus Iohannis.
