Transitioning Mima Town Planning and Production: Mima Town 1974 Color 27 minutes 16 seconds File name: utsuriyuku-mimachou.mp4 This work depicts the efforts of Mima Town, a town in the west of Tokushima Prefecture. Active transformation of agriculture, from rice, mulberry, and tobacco to vegetables, fruits, poultry farming, and cattle grazing. At the same time, attention to the daily lives of the townspeople, construction of Mima Junior High School, construction of a nursery school, anticipation of an aging society, elderly health checks, construction of a senior citizens' home, and other wonderful town development can be seen. In fact, the author is originally from Mima Town, and left his hometown after graduating from high school, and would occasionally return home before COVID-19, but this work allowed him to reexamine his hometown of bright and lively Mima Town, which he is grateful for.
