PSSI has officially ended its cooperation with Shin Tae-yong and announced plans to appoint a new coach, with former Dutch player Patrick Kluivert as a strong candidate. This decision was announced by PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir in a press conference at the Danareksa Tower (6/1/2025) for the future of the Indonesian National Team. This rumor has drawn pros and cons, considering that Kluivert is better known as an accomplished player than an experienced coach, in contrast to Shin Tae-yong who has a long track record, including bringing South Korea to the 2018 World Cup.
