Appennino365 takes you to the municipality of Sambuca Pistoiese to discover the villages of Taviano and Castello di Sambuca. Taviano is located on the Porrettana state road that leads from Bologna to Pistoia, a few kilometers from Porretta Terme and is home to the town hall built in the first half of the 1900s, today the seat of the town hall of Sambuca Pistoiese. From here a still passable paved mule track starts that leads to Castello di Sambuca where, upon arrival, we find the convent of the Franciscan nuns of the Immaculate. The village is in excellent condition thanks to the inhabitants and the Terra Selvaggia association that wants to enhance its tourist potential also with the reopening of the Hostel, renovated in the 2000s and closed for years. Here, walkers of the Via Francesca della Sambuca will find refreshment and the possibility of staying overnight. The monumental cemetery built in the 18th century and the Pieve di San Jacopo are further architectural pearls that make Castello di Sambuca a village that is absolutely worth visiting. Special thanks to Maurizio Ferrari, Giuseppe Piva and Tommaso Capecchi of the Terra Selvaggia Association, to Sister Lucia, to the Proloco of Taviano and to the Bar Alimentari da Pablo of Taviano for allowing us to make this video. #appennino365 #appenninodavivere365
