Downstream from Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe, the guarded refuge of Goûter is preparing for the start of the season. Further south, we then pass from green alpine pastures to steep valleys in the Vanoise National Park. An architect is building a modular hut for itinerant shepherds in order to revive the appeal of this profession that is losing ground. After a stopover at the spectacular Col de l'Iseran, located at an altitude of 2,764 meters, discover the town of Briançon, fortified by Vauban.
