The Palazzina di Stupinigi is one of the buildings that the Savoy family had built outside the city, for the purpose of hunting by the nobles. It was the architect Filippo Juvarra who, at the behest of Vittorio Amedeo II, began the construction of the building in 1729, but the first member of the Piedmontese family to enjoy the wonderful completed residence was only Vittorio Amedeo III. The hunting lodge of Stupinigi is mainly based on a central hall, which from the outside appears to have an elliptical shape but which in reality has a hexagonal shape inside, which occupies its entire height and is covered by a dome, above which is placed the bronze statue of a deer, symbol of the building itself, which recalls the theme of hunting (this on the dome is a copy as the original is inside, to protect it).
