The elements that rule the earth - Air, Fire, Earth and Water - perform a "regular inspection" on people. For all the elements we follow Water, which people call the Rain Fairy. She goes around the country disguised as a poor woman. He knows that people have started to think mainly about money, that love and goodness are disappearing. Among such people is the farmer Lakota (Miroslav Donutil), whose son Ondra (Jakub Gottwald) loves poor Květuška (Éva Kerekes). But the peasant does not like to see their love. When the elements return to the Sun, they demand severe punishment. The sun hesitates, he knows that people are people, and he likes them despite their mistakes, but he is outvoted. At the last moment, the Rain Fairy (Lenka Vlasáková) helps him. She asks the Sun if she can punish the people herself and takes the rain from the people. The region is suffering from drought. The people have nothing to harvest, the grain does not grow, the hay is almost burned. Lakota takes advantage of the situation and promises Ondra that he can marry Květuška on the condition that Květuška arranges rain. She then goes after the Rain Fairy and must complete three tasks. The tasks will be difficult, too difficult, and even after they are completed, Květuška and Ondra will not have won. Lakota is irredeemable... But don't worry, in the end goodness and love will win, as it always does in fairy tales.
