To grow well and stay healthy, it is important to have a good diet, that is, eat healthily, following some fundamental rules 1. First of all, it is important to eat lots of fruit and vegetables, because they are rich in water, vitamins and mineral salts that allow our body to function at its best ???????????????? 2. However, you should not overdo it with sweets, because although they are very good, they contain a lot of fat and sugar ???????????? 3. Be careful with alcoholic drinks, which can be very harmful to our body ????. Adults should drink them in moderation, while children should not even try them! It is better to toast with a fruit juice or a non-alcoholic Bloody Mary rich in vitamins! ???????? 3. Chew slowly ⏳: this way, you will make the work of the stomach easier and the foods will be absorbed more easily 4. Eat at regular intervals, respecting meal times and letting time pass between one meal and the next ????????????????. Continuous nibbling, in fact, ends up tiring our body. 5. Follow a varied diet ????????????????????????. That is, eat everything, albeit in the right quantities and without exaggerating. In fact, our body needs different types of foods because from each of them it obtains different substances, all necessary for growing and staying healthy. For this reason, foods can be grouped into 4 large groups: 1. the first group is made up of CARBOHYDRATES, that is, sugars, which are contained in cereals and therefore in bread, pasta and flour, but also in potatoes, fruit and sweets. Carbohydrates provide ready-to-use ENERGY, essential for doing anything: walking, running, studying, breathing and even sleeping! ???????????? 2. Then there are PROTEINS, present in eggs, meat, fish, milk and its derivatives and legumes. Proteins are used to grow and replenish the body and help us grow. ???????????????????? 3. Then there are FRUIT and VEGETABLES, which contain water, mineral salts and vitamins, essential substances for the proper functioning of our body, which protect us from diseases and make our body work at its best. ???????????????????????????????????????????? 4. Finally, there are FATS that are found mainly in oil and butter, but also in fatty meats, fried foods and desserts. Fats are a formidable source of energy, but they are difficult to metabolize and tend to accumulate in the blood causing diseases. Therefore, you should not overdo these foods! ???????????? Sometimes you will find these food groups stacked on top of each other to form a pyramid, called a food pyramid: it is a tool to communicate which and how many foods should preferably be eaten. The most famous of all is the food pyramid of the Mediterranean Diet, considered the most effective for preventing cardiovascular diseases. As you can see, the foods that occupy the lower part (such as wholemeal bread and pasta, fruit and vegetables) are those favored by the diet, that is, those that can be eaten in greater quantities. As you go up the pyramid, however, the figure becomes narrower and the quantity decreases. In essence, the foods at the top (such as fatty meats and cheeses, sweets and condiments) are those to be consumed in smaller quantities, because they are considered less suitable for maintaining a good state of health. Also remember that it is very important to have a good breakfast ☕????: in the morning, in fact, our body needs to recharge with energy after the night's fast to face the morning's commitments well. Therefore, have breakfast calmly and while sitting, with a drink and something to chew. And don't forget the mid-afternoon snack, which should be light, preferably based on fruit, yogurt or some biscuits or crackers: this way you can recharge without feeling heavy, arriving at dinner time with the right appetite! ???????? ????????
