DDD Syndrome (Adult Children from Dysfunctional Families) is a diagnosis that more and more patients hear from their psychotherapists. We are talking about adult children growing up in dysfunctional families in the case of people whose parents have neglected their charges in a number of ways - both mentally and physically. Difficult experiences - including growing up feeling threatened, lack of support or taking on adult responsibilities - translate into numerous problems in adult life. What are the characteristics of a dysfunctional family? How does DDD manifest itself and who does it affect? How do people with DDD function and where can they seek help? These and many other questions will be answered by psychologist and psychotherapist Joanna Flis. The conversation will be led by Zofia Szynal. Joanna Flis - clinical and health psychologist, certified specialist in addiction psychotherapy, graduate of SWPS University.
