Frédéric Péchier, indicted for the poisoning of thirty patients, twelve of whom were fatal, responded to the accusations alongside his lawyers. In 2017, the practitioner, then aged 47, was indicted for the first time for seven poisonings. Today, the anesthesiologist is suspected of having poisoned thirty patients in two clinics in Besançon (Doubs), causing them serious, even fatal, cardiac complications. Although he has never been detained, investigators believe that Frédéric Péchier acted in this way to harm his colleagues and show off. He claims that these incidents were the result of mistakes by his colleagues or random events, and continues to proclaim his innocence.
