In this video, Rafa Oliveira teaches you how to transform that messy little room into a much more organized and functional corner. Rafa has brought several solutions to organize these spaces where there is a lot of clutter. To start, you first need to empty everything and clean it thoroughly. You need to decide which items make sense, which items will be donated and which items are no longer useful and will therefore be thrown away. This distinction is important because Rafa teaches us that junk can't be organized! She divided everything into sectors, checked the expiration dates and, when emptying the little room, separated the products into families, to store them according to their usefulness. Starting with the cleaning items, Rafa put them all in an organizer and continued organizing everything into similar groups. A good tip is to organize the items in stock at the back and the ones that are in use at the front. For the deeper organizers, Rafa chose the bulkier items and again separated everything into categories - the "families". Objects such as gardening materials, sports items and bags were also organized according to each category. Rafa chose matching organizers to make the space more harmonious. All the cardboard boxes were replaced with organizers as well, because, despite their practicality, they attract moths, so it's best not to use them in places that serve as storage. Rafa organized more items that were loose in the space, such as sewing kits, fabrics and other items that were left over from around the house. She also chose organizers without lids and with hollow handles, which are very practical and work like drawers. This little room had a lot of Christmas items and, just like the non-seasonal items, they were all separated by family. To store the Christmas tree, Rafa gave the great tip of wrapping the tree parts in plastic film, reducing the volume and protecting the tree from dust and mold. Other bulky and heavy items were left on the floor, but also in organizers, as Rafa recommends. To make the organization even more practical, labels are a must! Rafa labeled all the organizers and fitted objects such as a ladder and ironing board into the remaining spaces on the sides, in addition to hanging the most used items such as a broom and mop on hangers (which were already in the room). Rafa also added the organizer bag puller, perfect for storing plastic bags used on a daily basis. With everything organized, Rafa took advantage of the remaining space to add decorative items and make the room even more beautiful. Did you like it?
