The self-adhesive imitation wood slats that you see in the tutorial can be purchased at your nearest Leroy Merlin store or in their online store: https://www.leroymerlin.es/. The work clothes, gloves and footwear we wear are from Tomás Bodero Group: https://tomasbodero.com/es/. Here you can see the catalogue of each of their brands TB, BeeWork and Cerva: https://tomasbodero.com/es/content/ma... We love being up to date when it comes to vinyl coverings. That's why in this tutorial we're going to show you how to install these TrendDecô slats and tiles, which are very flexible and light and therefore allow us to stick them not only on walls but also on the surface of furniture and decorative objects to completely transform their appearance. Bored of your furniture? Is it dull? Are they worn or outdated? Well, pay attention to this tutorial because it's never been easier to transform them. The slats or tiles are very thin, but in addition to the surface layer of polyurethane that gives them great resistance to knocks, they have a 2 mm foam base that serves to absorb small irregularities in the wall, the joints of a tile, but they are not suitable for gluing over gotelé or paintings with a lot of relief because the design would be transparent. They also have a coating that protects their colours from the effects of UV rays. The first thing you have to do on walls, doors, furniture or any other surface where you want to stick the slats is to prime them with the TrendDecô primer. If you don't do this and there is a problem with the installation, the eight-year guarantee will not be valid. It is important for a good visual finish to take care of the horizontality of the slats. In the case of a wall, if the skirting board is well levelled, it is a good starting point. When you place your first slat, take the opportunity to test and discover the strength of the adhesive. Go slowly and you will soon learn to handle the slats so that they stick better and better. The cut can be made with scissors or with a cutter and a metal ruler. Juan shows you how to calculate the cuts in the most professional way. We are placing the slats with the joint offset. This way it looks more casual and we make better use of the material. ???? We are playing on the wall with two colors from the TrendDecô catalog: Avignon White and Geneve Grey. Let's see what you think of this combination. The slats that come in each box are different so that the decoration is not repeated and the wall has a more natural wood effect. We are also placing the slats of the two different colors on the wall randomly, to break the symmetry. As you can see, the installation is very easy. The only difficult point is the meeting with the door, so Juan explains how to box it. If at the end of the installation you have some gaps between the slats, fill them with wood putty or with touch-up markers, like the professionals! We decorated the door with another wood tone, Calais Oak from TrendDecô. We put the slats vertically so that they contrast with the wall and left the moulding white. Then we transformed two white shoe racks that, on the white wall, seemed a bit boring. In one we put wooden slats and in the other tiles that imitate rust. And, to finish, we covered a wardrobe that has slightly worn doors by combining slats with tiles. As they have the same thickness, they can be used together and the contrast of shapes and finishes they create is phenomenal. Wardrobe like new! ???? We remind you that the material is so flexible that it also adapts to curves, so you can also cover PVC pipes, waste bins, columns, etc. with it. We hope you like this sample that we have prepared and that you are encouraged to renew the decoration of your house with vinyl. Leave us your comments below.
