It may seem odd to be held in Gumi, a city known for the electronics industry, but a civil servant came up with the idea for the festival. This is because the largest ramen factory in Korea, which has been producing ramen since 1991, produces three out of four brands of Shin Ramyun sold on the market. In addition, there are many unique programs, such as a ramen workshop where you can make your own ramen by combining freshly fried ramen and various ingredients, and a ramen restaurant consisting of 15 delicious restaurants. In addition, the festival mascot, which is a character in the dialect of ‘kkodali’, a kimbap skewer that people intentionally seek out to eat, is also gaining popularity.
