The decarbonization of the port sector needs to be discussed! The maritime transport sector plays a fundamental role in global trade and is a significant source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, accounting for approximately 3% of global emissions, according to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which has set targets to reduce these emissions. The 1st Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Alliance for Port Decarbonization (ABDP) will bring together experts, managers, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders to discuss this important topic of decarbonization on November 18 and 19 at the Suape terminal in Pernambuco.
