Hosted by Jean-François Rauger --- After the screening of Cure (1997), Kiyoshi Kurosawa looks back on the film and his entire career. --- A decisive figure in contemporary horror cinema, at the crossroads of ancestral fears and those born from the advent of new technologies (ghosts and Yokai from traditional Japanese tales, serial killers, cyborg men, etc.), Kiyoshi Kurosawa began in B movies and exploitation films before gaining international recognition from the 1990s to the present day: Cure, Charisma, Kaïro, Shokuzai, Invasion, Les Amants sacrifiés, etc. In 2012, the Cinémathèque française devoted a retrospective to him. --- Jean-François Rauger is the director of programming at the Cinémathèque française.
