There is a common belief that branded products are expensive because they are branded, that we pay for the brand and not the quality, and that similar products can be bought much cheaper from the Chinese. But are these Chinese products really what they should be? There are situations when, for example, we come across a suspiciously cheap memory device on Aliexpress. Usually - convinced of the correctness of the statement in the first sentence - we do not think too long and buy, sniffing out a bargain. However, it may turn out to be a trap. It often happens that the Chinese - to put it mildly - are not entirely honest with us. And as we know, there is supposedly a guarantee for such products, but in practice getting your money back borders on a miracle. Maybe sometimes it is worth paying a little more but being sure that the product you are buying is branded? Exactly - but which product? How to recognize a fake? Unfortunately, I can't test everything for you, but since electronics and computers are topics close to my heart, I decided to buy and test for you one of the suspiciously cheap SSD drives with supposedly incredibly large capacity. This combination alone - low price + astronomical capacity - should cause a red flag to go off. If not, I invite you to watch this video. I hope that after it, when you next see similar products, not only one light will go on, but everything will flash like a warning light at the Chernobyl power plant during a failure.
