This time, the Remote Island Research Group visited Koshikijima in Kagoshima Prefecture. Koshikijima can be reached from Kawauchi Port in about 50 minutes by high-speed boat. After arriving at Sato Port on Kami-Koshikijima, we rented a car and explored the island, which had spectacular views everywhere. The three islands of Kami-Koshikijima, Naka-Koshikijima, and Shimo-Koshikijima are connected by large bridges, and there are many observation points from which you can see the bridges. There is a lot to see on this island, so we highly recommend it.
