In this video we were in Neustadt am Kulm in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district in Upper Palatinate and we went to the Rauher Kulm. We started from the car park at the information center past great basalt block piles up to the summit of the Rauher Kulm, a volcano in Upper Palatinate, where there is a great observation tower from which you have a spectacular 360° view of the surrounding landscape. Then we went back down to the two volcanic craters, the Kühhübel and the Vogelherd. On the way there were some great views again. Finally we reached Neustadt am Kulm again where there was a spacious rock cellar to visit. In earlier times this was first used as a food store and later as a beer store. After a short walk through the town we set out to climb the small Kulm. From here you have a great view of Neustadt am Kulm and also of the Rauher Kulm. Then we went back through the town back to our starting point at the information center. Link to the hike: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/171...
