A 22-year-old man went out with friends and was about to return home to count down but was shot dead by another group of teenagers in Village 3, Pakiep Subdistrict, Ku Mueang District, Buriram Province. When the grandmother saw the body of her grandson, she cried heavily because she had only raised him since he was a child. Asking the deceased's friends, they said that another group of teenagers rode 5 motorcycles and shot at him who was riding in front of the deceased's motorcycle, but the bullets missed. Then, 2 more gunshots were heard. The deceased thought that the perpetrators had run out of ammunition, so he stopped his car and tried to fight back, but was shot in the chest and died at 23:57, just 3 minutes before New Year's Day. The police have now arrested 8 of the perpetrators. They stated that they saw the deceased's group riding motorcycles chasing their younger brother and throwing ping-pong bombs at each other. The other party tried to use a knife to slash him, so they pulled out the gun they were carrying and shot at the deceased.
