Following a medical emergency involving a patient, the ambulance crew requested a motorcycle escort from Zoetermeer to the HMC Westeinde Hospital in The Hague. They submitted this request to the ambulance dispatch centre and, after approval, the request was received by the police dispatch centre. This police dispatch centre then sent the motorcyclists from the Traffic Team. Once on site, the motorcyclist commander made arrangements with the ambulance driver regarding the route and type of transport (sliding/emergency/slow/fast, etc.). The paramedics requested a police escort from Zoetermeer to the HMC hospital in The Hague. After the request was granted by the supervisors, three officers responded to the call and provided the escort.
