Gabriel Rolón is a psychoanalyst, musician and writer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1961. He studied at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Buenos Aires. He graduated and specialized in psychoanalysis, a discipline that he promotes both through his academic activity and through his intense participation in the media. He was a speaker at the World Congress of Psychoanalysis in Mexico City; he gives psychoanalytic training sessions at local and foreign universities. Historias de diván (2007), his first book from psychoanalysis, was an unusual best-seller in Argentina and was published in Germany, Spain, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Mexico and Brazil, a phenomenon that was repeated with his second book, Palabras cruzadas, and with the publication of Los padecientes, his first novel, which was translated into French, Portuguese, Italian, and was made into a film. The cases presented in his works are used to study psychoanalytic clinics in universities in Argentina, Paraguay, Spain and Brazil.
