In another program of the "One Narrative" series, we sat down to talk with Shirin Neshat, an Iranian photographer and filmmaker living in New York. Shirin Neshat, who was born in Qazvin in 1336, went to America to continue her studies in 1354 and received a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Mrs. Neshat considers this period of her studies and life as bitter days because it coincided with the 1357 revolution. In 1990, after nearly four decades, Shirin Neshat traveled to Iran to show the changes brought about by the 1957 revolution in the status of women with different photos and images. He took many pictures of Iranian women and in some of these pictures, he held exhibitions titled "Women of Allah" with drawings on his hands and body. Shirin Neshat also has dozens of videos and movies in her portfolio, including the movie "Women Without Men" which is about the aftermath of the August 28 coup. She wrote and directed the script of this movie based on the book Shahrenoush Parsipour with the cooperation of her husband Shoja Azari. In 2009, this film won the Venice Film Festival Silver Statue Award as the best director. ----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------ Radio Farda; Contact time: Website: www.radiofarda.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/radiofarda Facebook: www.facebook.com/radio.farda Twitter: www.twitter.com/radiofarda_ Telegram Id: @fardagram Soundcloud: www.soundcloud .com/radio-farda TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@radio.farda
