What to do in Santa Catarina? Have you tried the cuisine of Santa Catarina? Have you visited the city of Bom Jardim da Serra? Have you heard of Pomerode? - This Sunday, the cuisine of the state of Santa Catarina is the star of the new episode of Boa Sorte Viajante. You will get to know typical dishes from four cities in Santa Catarina and their peculiarities, as well as a multitude of good seasonings, flavors and traditions. A tropeiro recipe, a German buffet, a Pomeranian lunch, a Portuguese snack and a beer to go with it, these are just some of the many delights characteristic of the region's cuisine. Are you curious to try these delights? ????❤ In our first destination, we arrived at the beautiful city of Bom Jardim da Serra, which stands out for being considered one of the coldest in Brazil. The region is also home to Didio and Dalva, a couple who live amidst the natural beauty of Santa Catarina. During our visit, Dona Dalva prepared a recipe whose main ingredient is found in the araucaria forests: pine nut entrevero. And we also got to meet the chef, Raquel Machado, and her family recipe created by her great-great-grandmother of Portuguese origin, called “packaged meat”. Have you heard of it? Continuing our journey, we visited the city of Doutor Pedrinho and a place that brings together the best of everything is Recanto da Oma, with trails and a variety of typical German dishes. The matriarch of the family, Roseli Winklerde, showed us how to prepare a banquet and prepared suckling pig cooked in a wood-fired oven. In the city of Alfredo Wagner, you will have the pleasure of learning about chef Maria Madalena’s cornbread recipe that has been passed down through generations. In Pomerode, considered the most German city in Brazil, Dona Magrit’s kitchen is already in full swing preparing her stuffed duck, served with different side dishes. And nothing is more German than beer, a drink that could not be left out of our episode. Maurício Zipf, partner at Cervejaria Schornstein, shows us the manufacturing process and the tourism offered at the factory. #SantaCatarina #SaboresSC #Culinaria ===================== WHO IS MATHEUS BOA SORTE? I am passionate about the cultural traditions of the Brazilian Northeast. To be more specific, the backlands, which I believe are much more than just a corner of Brazil where there is little rain. For me, the backlands are feelings, states of mind, of those who carry within themselves a smile, faith, persistence, courage and a little bit of mischief. I have a degree in advertising, and I pay my bills through art. I am a singer, composer, writer, speaker, educator, actor, TV host, radio host... A lot of things, right? But I can sum it all up in just one job: I AM A STORYTELLER.
