Fireplace spatulating, fireplace renovation below I will describe the process of how to change the rough fireplace to a smooth surface. At first we scrape the entire surface with scrapers, in order to make it as smooth as possible. Then we wipe well, and prepare our putty for scapularing. The putty should be a little stiff on the first coat to fill the gaps. After applying the first coat of plaster, let it dry well and apply a second coat of putty a little thinner! After the putty has dried, sand with sandpaper and sandpaper. then prime with an acrylic or micronized primer. When our primer is dry, we will apply two layers of plastic color of our choice.
