Last summer I cycled along what is perhaps the most beautiful cycle route in Italy, the Dolomiti - Mare, which starts from Dobbiaco and ends after 290 kilometers on the Adriatic Sea. The route is mostly on cycle paths or in any case on roads far from traffic but above all it is a route with breathtaking views: from the Dolomites to the Cadore valley, from the historic villages to the Prosecco hills and from the Piave valley up to the Adriatic coast.
