Nathalie is taking part in "Badlands", one of the most demanding gravel bike races in the world, which takes place annually in the stunning but challenging landscape of southern Spain. But this event goes beyond top sporting performance. David, co-founder of the race, has a bigger goal: he wants to draw attention to the region's pressing problems. His aim is to stem the rural exodus, revive awareness of the neglected culture and protect the landscape, which has been severely affected by climate change. While Nathalie is reaching her limits on the way to the goal, David is pursuing a long-term vision. With his commitment, he wants to bring about sustainable change and raise awareness of the region's challenges.
