How does it actually work? Every day, Deutsche Bahn has to transport 6 million passengers to their destination in 40,000 trains over a rail network of 37,000 kilometers. Deutsche Bahn is a logistical challenge. Quarks asked how Deutsche Bahn works and what the problems are. A Quarks reporter travels with Deutsche Bahn - and we use five cameras at the same time. We look over the shoulders of train drivers, train managers and dispatchers at Deutsche Bahn, get an insight into the complex processes at Deutsche Bahn and then understand why things sometimes go wrong at Deutsche Bahn. Pretty much everyone has been annoyed by Deutsche Bahn at some point - especially about its frequent unpunctuality. But there are also passengers who love traveling by train with Deutsche Bahn.
