One of the things we like most at Bricocrack is to show you products that provide decoration, new functions and that are very easy to install. That is why in this tutorial we are going to show you how to install the acoustic panels made of wooden slats that V-Line has launched and others made of polystyrene that, although they reduce noise reverberation less, have the same appearance and perfectly withstand contact with water. Juan begins by explaining how these wooden slat panels are made to achieve acoustic absorption in a room, that is, to prevent noise from spreading and continuing to bounce, creating that unpleasant echo effect in a room. To resist humidity, the HDF slats of the panel are covered with natural wood on their three visible sides. Other products that do not have this wood covering on all sides can be affected by humidity. And another interesting fact when choosing is that the polyester base is 10 mm thick and the strips that are stapled to it are 12 mm thick, meaning that the panel protrudes from the wall by a total of 22 mm. Next, we are going to install the panels to cover a complete wall. You will see how easy it is. You only need four screws per panel. We are screwing it directly into the wall because it is made of laminated plaster. If yours is a brick wall, you will also have to put in the corresponding plugs. The important thing is that you use black screws, the colour of the polyester felt base, so that they are not visible. Juan explains in detail how the joints between the panels are made and how they are cut, if necessary, to adjust the measurements. If you want to improve sound absorption but do not want to cover all the walls, you can create isolated elements with these same panels that decorate and absorb noise. We have created a diamond-shaped pattern, combining the Natural Oak colour that we have used on the wall with the Grey Oak colour from the V-Line catalogue. And to give it more decorative power, we have turned the slats in different directions. This is just an example. Now you know how to do it, use your imagination and create your own designs ????. And, finally, we are going to present you the V-Line 3D decorative polystyrene panels. They perfectly imitate the appearance of wooden slat panels. Their acoustic absorption capacity is lower but, in exchange, you can place them in humid environments because they perfectly resist the presence of water. Their installation is different from that of wooden slat panels. Juan shows you how to do it step by step by placing a complete wall. The design of these three-slat panels adds depth to any wall where you place them but, if you want to increase their decorative power, play with the orientation of the pieces and their colours. We have combined the Nordik Oak and Walnut colours from the V-Line 3D decorative panels catalogue. We hope that the tutorial will be useful to you when deciding whether to include these products in your home decoration. Leave us your comments below because your opinion is very important to us.
