The Battle of Ankara took place between Timur and Yıldırım Bayezid in 1402 on Çubuk Plain, 20 km from Ankara. Before the battle, Timur sent four letters to Yıldırım Bayezid, and Yıldırım Bayezid responded with four letters. However, these correspondences could not prevent the battle. Timur won the battle, and Yıldırım Bayezid was taken prisoner. The Turkish copies of these four letters and their replies are available in the manuscript Münşeât ve Mükâtabât-ı Sultâniye journal registered in Konya Municipality Koyunoğlu Library no. 13435. For the first time, the original texts of these four letters and their replies are given in transcription. We are reading the correspondence based on Abdurrahman Daş's article: Correspondences Between Timur and Yıldırım Bayezid Before the Battle of Ankara https://dergipark.org.tr/en/download/...
