https://www.ersatzteilshop.de/waschma... In this tutorial we will show you what the error Bosch - Siemens washing machine error F21 means and how you can delete the error F21. This washing machine error F21 also has the same meaning for Constructa devices. Bosch, Siemens and Constructa belong to the same manufacturer group. The Siemens washing machine error message F21 indicates a problem with the washing machine motor - specifically, it is a problem with the motor carbon brushes on your washing machine. Your washing machine controls the motor, but does not get the response - e.g. the spin speed is too low. This is why the error F21 comes back and indicates that the motor carbon brushes are worn out. The motor carbon brushes can be easily replaced. So let's get to work - let's replace the motor carbon brushes on the washing machine! The motor carbon brushes - carbon brushes or simply carbon brushes for washing machines in our Bosch washing machine motor have an extra carbon pin - behind it a spring with a copper line and a connector. There are also motors where the carbon brushes are already installed in a finished housing. The conversion is a little easier there. However, today we are going to change the motor carbon brushes, which is a little more complex. Important to know before we start - the motor carbon brushes are not universal components! Every washing machine motor has different motor carbon brushes installed! They differ in size and sometimes also in material. However, you can easily find the right component for you using the type number search on our website. https://www.ersatzteilshop.de/waschma... If you turn the motor over, you can see the commutator inside. The motor carbon brushes / carbon brushes are in contact with this copper component and this is why this part is particularly dirty. It may no longer be copper-colored, but covered in carbon dust. In the first step we remove the motor carbon brushes. To do this, pull off the connection for the carbon brushes, push the metal pin upwards and then you can pull that out too. Now the entire motor carbon brush can be removed. Our carbon brush still looks great because the washing machine motor is new. In your case, the motor carbon is most likely quite worn and only about 1 cm long. On the opposite side of the motor we have another carbon pin. We will replace both springs and carbon pins. Use the type number on the motor carbon to find the right replacement part here. Once we have removed both motor carbons from the washing machine, we will quickly get to cleaning them before we continue with installing the carbon brushes/carbon pins. It would be great if you have a compressor with which you can blow out the inside of the motor. The commutator must be freed of carbon abrasion. If there are grooves on the commutator from the worn carbon pin, take some sandpaper, put it on the commutator and turn it carefully until the grooves are sanded away. A little patience will pay off and the commutator will be in perfect condition again. At the end, blow everything out again with compressed air. Now we can insert the new motor carbon brushes on both sides. When inserting, make sure that the direction of rotation is correct for the commutator! The beveled end of the carbon brushes must match the direction of rotation! In the video you can see exactly how the motor carbon brushes fit perfectly. Use a screwdriver to help you fit the spring correctly. Don't forget to plug the connection back in at the end. Finally, we delete the Bosch - Siemens washing machine error F21. First go back to the zero position. It is important that the porthole is closed and the device is connected to the power supply! Before you carry out repairs to electrical devices, always check that you have unplugged the device - but that is a different issue... Back to the Siemens washing machine error F21 reset. Turn the control wheel to the 6 o'clock position (in our case that is “spin”) - count to 3... - then hold down the button for the “control speed” and at the same time turn the control wheel to the 7 o'clock position. Once you've done that, let go of the button and turn it back to the zero position. Now when you select a new program, the washing machine error code F21 should be reset. Just watch our tutorial to the end and join in with deleting the washing machine error F21. We make our videos to give you the opportunity to use your household appliances sustainably and increase their lifespan. The decision about whether to repair should always be yours. Because everyone has the right to repair! In this case, it's just a reset - but here too, quick help is needed! So then! Get to work!
