If there are grooves on the commutator from the worn carbon pin, take some sandpaper, put it on the commutator and turn it carefully until the grooves are sanded away. A little patience will pay off and the commutator will be in perfect condition again. At the end, blow everything out again with compressed air. Now we can insert the new motor carbon brushes on both sides. When inserting, make sure that the direction of rotation is correct for the commutator!
